Celebrate Spring in Atlanta

During spring, Atlanta is beautiful, the gardens burst with blooms and the weather is perfect, sunny and mild.  It’s time to get away and head to Georgia where the blue skies are waiting to greet you.

Atlanta is the home of hundreds of parks, lively neighborhoods and historical sites.

Of course, there is more, you can also enjoy the fun attractions for the whole family. While there you can tour the museums, visit their historic theatres, go shopping and enjoy their exciting nightlife.

For those golf lovers, you can pick from over 50 different golf courses.  While in Atlanta, visit Turner Field and watch the Atlanta Braves take on their opponents. Don’t forget to take part of one of their many festivals. If visiting during the month of April, you will be able to take part of the Dogwood Festival. This one has been celebrated for over 70 years. But it doesn’t matter what time of the year you go, Atlanta has so much to offer you that you will have a great time. It’s a fun place for two or the family, enjoy!

COCA-COLA

Visit the home-based museum of Coca-Cola.  There is an exhibit where you can taste different versions of Coca-Cola from around the world.

BOTANICAL GARDENS

At Piedmont Park you will find a flower filled oasis.  It is at its peak during spring.  You can walk under the canopies of the blooming cherry trees; see their array of azaleas, and their every popular dogwoods.  It’s a peaceful and beautiful sight.  It is the host of the largest orchid species in the U.S.

FERNBANK MUSEUM

This museum of natural history is the host of the largest dinosaur ever found.  You can discover the science behind tornadoes, volcanoes and other natural disasters.

CENTENNIAL OLUMPIC PARK

It has a centerpiece of 21 acres; it’s a Fountain of Rings.  During the warm spring days, it can be used to cool down.  At the park you can also hear free concerts during noon time.

AMUSEMENT PARK

Don’t forget to stop by and visit Six Flags over Georgia or the water park.  They are open from March to November.  This is a great place to take the kids, they will love it.

UNDERGROUND ATLANTA

Six city blocks that has been transformed into a marketplace.  It offers shopping in over 100 specialty stores, restaurants, trendy hangouts and street car merchants.  They are also the host of many festivals and the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in the southeast.
