You are finding it hard to wake up in the morning. Usually after taking a nice warm shower and drinking a nice hot cop of coffee, you are ready to go. But lately even that is not working.
You find yourself yawning all day, tired and no matter how much caffeine you get into your system, it just doesn’t work.
Why is this happening, why are you so exhausted? It’s simple, you are probably active, have too much to do. Many of us work very long hours, maybe two jobs.
Besides our jobs, we have a long to do list at home. We are on the go. The problem with this is the more exhausted we are the harder it gets to find sleep. We try everything to find a little more energy to make it through our day by drinking more coffee, energy drinks or just popping pills that are pure caffeine. The problem with this it’s just not healthy. You have to sit down and take a breather. Write down your daily activities, re-organize your daily routine and make time to rest. What many don’t realize that lack of rest, sleep can cause a person to collapse.
SLEEP
Set yourself a sleep routine, wake up and go to sleep at the same time everyday. Avoid naps during the day; it will make it harder to go to sleep at night. Make sure your room is dark at night and avoid drinking caffeinated drinks before going to bed. You can also try taking a warm bath before going to bed; it will relax you and help you drift off to sleep.
EXERCISE
Add exercise to your daily routine, at least 30 minutes a day. When you do exercise, make sure it’s at least three hours before bed. It will help your body get rid of stress and allow your body to relax.
FOOD
Sometimes our diet can impact us in a very negative way. Make sure to always eat regular, healthy meals. Reduce the amount of alcohol and caffeine in your system. Make sure your body is getting the right nutrients and you are at a normal weight.
LIFESTYLE
Write down what you do on a daily basis. After a week look, it over and you will notice that you are most likely running yourself into the ground. You just have too much to do. You need to re-organize your schedule, find time to just relax. The more pressure you have to get things done quickly will cause you to feel exhausted, irritable and frustrated. Maybe it’s time to share some of your duties with those at home.
