Healthy, Shiny and Long Luxurious Hair

We spend hundreds of dollars trying to find the perfect shampoo and conditioner so that our hair can look, healthy, shiny, long and luxurious.

We want this so much that we will try anything that says it can make our hair grow faster and look beautiful. Of course, when it doesn’t work, we try something else.

If you were to open the cabinet under the bathroom sink, how many bottles of half used shampoos, conditioners, treatments, oils, etc do you have there?

Calculate the cost of each one of those and you will see that you spent a fortune. There is nothing wrong with wanting beautiful and luxurious hair.  What is wrong is the way we go about doing this.  There is an easier way that we can make sure our hair looks great, is strong and keeps growing. It all has to do with what you eat or vitamins you take.  Yes as simple as that.  Hair grows about ¼ to ½ inch every month and if you eat a healthy diet, then you diet you will ensure that this continues.

Now if you were born with fine hair it won’t make it thick but it will keep it growing, make it strong and healthy. With a regular, healthy diet and natural supplements, it will ensure that you have continued hair growth.  It will also promote growth within the follicles, natural oils creating shine and promote cell renewal of the scalp and a healthy scalp.

BEANS

You can find iron, zinc and biotin in beans, especially kidney beans and lentils.  When there is a biotin deficiency this will lead to brittle hair.  Making sure these are part of your diet will give you healthy hair and promote hair growth.  To get what you want, make sure to add 3 or more cups of beans to your diet.

NUTS

For you to have healthy hair, you have to have a healthy scalp.   Adding nuts to your diet will give you exactly this.  For healthy scalp you need selenium and the best nut to eat is the Brazil nut.  How many of you are concerned about shedding too much hair?  Well, the reason for this is a deficiency of zinc.  So add pecans, cashews, pecans and almost, you will get all the zinc you need.  Don’t forget the walnuts; they will give you the omega-3 fatty acid which will help condition your hair.

POULTRY

You hair needs protein and the best high quality protein comes from chickens and turkey.  If you don’t eat enough protein, you will end up with weak and brittle hair.  It will also result in loss of hair color and we all want to retain our hair color for as long as possible.

DARK GREEN VEGETABLES

We have a natural hair conditioner, it is sebum, and it is secreted by our hair follicles.  To maintain this at normal levels, we will need to eat more vegetables like spinach, broccoli and Swiss chard.  These vegetables are a major source of vitamin C and A.  They also provide plenty of calcium and iron that our helps with the growth of our hair and also our bodies.

WHOLE GRAINS

Adding whole grains to our meals will make sure we are fuller and are not eating more than we need to.  But that is not all its good for; it also contains B vitamins, zinc and iron.  Eat more whole wheat bread, whole grain cereals and you will have extraordinarily strong, healthy hair.

EGGS

One egg added to your diet daily helps you trim inches off your waist but it also is a great source of protein.  It also contains both vitamin B-12 and biotin.  Important beauty nutrients needed to make that hair look shiny and sleek.  It doesn’t matter how you eat them, you can have scrambled eggs, sunny side up or boiled.  All that is important is that you add it to your daily diet.

CARROTS

Carrots are a great source of beta-carotene and are also good in helping promote healthy vision.  Along with healthy vision, it also promotes a healthy scalp.  Remember, for perfect hair, you have to have a healthy scalp.   You will be happy you added this to your diet; you will have the shiny hair you so desire.

DAIRY

You need calcium for strong, healthy bones but it is also an important mineral needed to promote hair growth.  Make sure to add low fat dairy products to your diet, such as yogurt, cottage cheese and yogurt.  And if you want to boost the hair growth, add walnuts or flaxseeds to your yogurt or cottage cheese.

As you can see, it is important to have a healthy diet, not only is it good for your body but also essential to promote healthy, shiny and long hair.  Be careful of low calorie diets, they usually are missing the most important nutrients for your hair and body.  These types of diets can cause hair loss.  It can also cause your hair to look dull and brittle.

There are more foods out there that can promote good healthy hair, such as seafood, mangoes, oranges, dark chocolate, herbs, apples, etc.  All foods we love to eat and enjoy.  So take control of your health.  Stop spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on products that don’t do anything for your hair and just start eating healthier.

For those that just don’t have the time to always get a good meal, you can do vitamin supplements.  Make sure to take zinc, biotin, B vitamins, vitamin A and C, antioxidants and Iron.  Multi-vitamins give you a lot of these vitamins and for those that are not included either buy the supplement or add the proper foods to your meal.  It still a less expensive than the shampoos, conditioners, creams, etc we buy constantly in hopes of having that perfect head of hair.
