How to Prevent Acne at Any Age

We do all we can to protect our complexion and what we all fight the most is acne. Many believe that only teenagers suffer from acne but that is not true, so do adults.

No one wants to wake up the next morning with a pimple in the middle of their forehead. There is also the acne rosacea, which is redness of the cheeks, bumps and pimples across the forehead and nose.

To get rid of the acne or calm it down, we purchase creams, facial scrubs, etc.

We will try anything and everything to make it go away. Well there is a way to improve your complexion by 20% and it not a facial cream.  It’s by adding fruits and vegetables into your diet. As we all know that eating healthier means we can lose weight, reduce our risk of certain illnesses and live a longer.  Now in addition to this, we can also make our complexion look healthier.

As you will see, what we add to our daily diets can also affect our complexion, causing our acne to get worse. You can make a difference just by making these few changes in your daily diet.

FISH

The oil in fish is has the ability to fight inflammation.  That is why it is proven to reduce the risk of coronary artery disease.  That capability also helps with acne.  You can also take a supplement to your diet free of PCBs and dioxins.

BILLBERRIES

These are a natural antioxidant which reduces inflammation, which is a cause of acne.  They are hard to find so you can substitute them with Blueberries.

NUTS

Also known for their content of omega 3 fatty acids, can also help reduce inflammation, helping with acne.  Basically, the omega 3 fatty acids diminish the inflammation around the glands, shrinking the swelling that surrounds the breakout.

MILK

Certain studies have concluded that the hormones in the milk can cause acne.  They stimulate the glands, which can lead to pimples.  When choosing the milk you should try organic.  Even low fat or skim milk will still have hormones in them.  Dairy products should also be organic.

SWEETS

Consuming sweets, which causes glucose and insulin levels to rise, will also influence the development of acne.  In some women it can cause hyperinsulinmia, which is normally seen in women with PCOS.  This hormonal imbalance can cause them to suffer from acne.
