Monthly Mistakes Infertile Women Make

Many women become pregnant easily.  They are on birth control and decide it’s time, soon after they stop taking contraceptives they become pregnant.

But this is not the case for all women.  Many believe because they are young they can get pregnant easily but that is not the case.

Whether a woman is in her 20’s, 30’s or 40’s, they can run into problems. When they find it difficult to conceive, instead of visiting a fertility specialist they try to do things on their own.

That is not a good idea because all they end up doing is getting disappointed each month and becoming more frustrated. If the clock is ticking, you definitely don’t want to waste any time. Why is it so hard to accept that there may be something wrong?  It’s nothing to be embarrassed about and it doesn’t make them less of a woman.

Heavy Periods

Many women disregard heavy periods, they don’t believe it’s serious.  Well heavy periods can be a sign of a fibroid tumor, uterine polyp, hormonal imbalance, endometriosis, etc.  Whether you are trying to conceive or not, you should visit a physician.  For a person that is trying to conceive it’s best to visit a fertility specialist.

Tracking the Menstrual Cycle

One of the biggest mistakes is incorrectly charting their menstrual cycle.  Women will chart the spotting as their first day of their cycle.  By doing this, they miscalculate their entire cycle and become frustrated.  The first flow is the first day of your cycle.  If you find it hard to figure out, ask your physician.  There is nothing wrong with asking.

Cycle Days

It’s noted that women’s cycle is 28 days and they ovulate every 14 days but that is not the case for all women.  Healthy women can have cycles that range from 21 to 45 days, as long as their cycle is regular.  So depending on your cycle, your ovulation day can be anywhere from day 7 to day 31.

Scheduling Lovemaking

Women believe that storing up sperm for their fertile dates is a great idea.  Not so, men become frustrated when women begin to schedule lovemaking.   They feel they are just there for one purpose, making a baby.  Lovemaking becomes monotonous and it takes all the fun out of it.  Best thing to do is to have sex even if it’s not your fertile dates.

Ovulation Kits

Women choose to chart their cycles, take their temperatures, etc instead of using a tool available to all, the ovulation kits.  Ovulation kits make it easier to for couples to plan baby making sex.  This will eliminate the guess work, frustration and miscalculation.

Gynecologists

If what you want is to conceive, don’t go to a gynecologist, they are not fertility specialist.  A fertility specialist is prepared in every manner to help you with infertility problems.  They are reproductive endocrinologists who are current on all advancements in this field.  There are constant changes and new technologies to help couples conceive.
