Never Worry About Your Bad Breath Again

There are over 90 million people that suffer from bad breath, medically called halitosis.  It can be embarrassing and at times no matter what you do, you just can’t get rid of it. We do exactly as we are told, we brush twice a day, floss frequently and always use mouth wash.

However there are some that do have poor dental hygiene and can cause them to have severe bad breath. Of course, there are other reasons for halitosis, such as smoking, the foods we eat and at times it could be something more severe.

It could be a sign of some other type of medical condition, such as sinus problems or stomach problems. Experts say there are certain remedies that can help with halitosis or get rid of it permanently. If after trying these remedies you still don’t find relief then you should visit your dentist or physician and make sure there isn’t anything serious going on.

SCRUBBING

We are always trying to lose weight or keep fit and many of us are on low-car diet plans.  Unfortunately one of the side effects of this diet is bad breath.  The reason is that protein activates bacteria in our mouth.  The solution is roughage; eat raw fiber such as carrots.  Fiber acts like little brush bristles and scrapes that protein off your teeth.

YOGURT

For those that suffer from stomach problems, such as gerd, heartburn or gastritis should eat at least 6 oz. of sugar free yogurt that contains live culture.  After about 4 weeks, researchers say that it will cut bad breath by 50%.  Consuming foods rich in calcium can lower your risk of gum disease which causes bad breath.

MINT AND PARSLEY

A good way to get rid of the bad breath is by chewing on parsley, mint or fennel seeds.  These do not mask the smell of bad breath it gets rid of it.  It stimulates the saliva in your mouth helping to flush out odor causing bacteria quickly.  Another good thing to do is when you’re thirsty, drink a glass of tomato or orange juice.  The acids speed up and break down the sulfur compounds, the culprit of bad breath.

TEA

Instead of coffee, which is known to cause bad breath, you should drink tea.  It’s suggested that you drink two cups daily.  It reduces bad breath by 30% or more.  The compounds in the tea prevent plaque from forming on your teeth.  After you drink your tea, follow it by a glass of water, which will wash away any bacteria from your mouth.
