We all believe dating is hard, trying to find that one person you can connect with. You go on so many dates that just when you are about to give up, you find that perfect guy.
You can picture yourself with him, building a strong relationship, a home and eventually even a family.
Many women find it easy to say I love you to a man but not all men feel comfortable doing that. Women will get frustrated because they want to hear those words come out of their mouth, “I Love You”.
When time goes by women begin to feel that maybe he isn’t in love with him. Doubts and insecurity start building up. The distrust begins and accusations start, all because they did not hear those words. After this, they start doing things to get them to talk and when they don’t say it, they get frustrated and start pushing. Next thing you know the relationship falls apart.
What no one seems to understand is that, no matter who you are you need that reassurance and want to know they feel the same as you do. You want to know if the relationship is growing, that there is a future for the two of you. Unfortunately, pushing him into saying those words is not a good idea. All it does is make them feel cornered and pressured.
Just as women they have ways of showing a woman that they do love them. It is the woman’s turn to start reading between the lines. Just as women, men do little things to impress them; it’s their way of saying “I Love You”. All women have to do is start paying more attention to what he does.
Remember, men are not good at being open about their feelings, it takes time. To be honest, they have to learn to trust that person next to them but that won’t stop them from doing special things for you. It, also, doesn’t mean they don’t love you or wish to spend their life with you. They will say those words when they feel ready and sure of the relationship.
TALKS ABOUT THE FUTURE
When he is trying to see how you see the future with him, he will mention where he would like to move in a few years. For instance, he might say, I think in about two years, I would love to move to New York. Women start to think, he is trying to say he wants out of the relationship. In reality they are trying to get your input. They want to hear your response, which would let them know if you are planning or see yourself with him in the future.
HIS EYES
Men are visual, we all know that. That is why we constantly catch them staring at certain parts of the woman’s anatomy. However, when he pays no attention to his surroundings and you catch him staring at you, he is showing you how much he cares. How amazing you are. If he actually looks into your eyes, he is letting you in. He is showing you his love. He has lowered his shield and feels secure with you.
GIFTS
Another way is he starts wearing more often the gifts you gave him. You’ll notice he wears that cologne you love and gave to him as a gift. He’ll wear that sweater that you picked out for him or that special out fit. He will also allow you to pick the clothes he should wear. He is showing you that he trusts you and appreciates you in every way. This shows you he is comfortable with you. It is subtle but sweet.
DOESN’T FLINCH
We know when something is up, for instance, the phone rings and he flinches. You know right there and then he is nervous and hiding something. When they are serious about a relationship and all is in the open, he will not hide anything from you. He will leave his computer on, leave his phone in the open, his wallet on the nightstand and will hide nothing from you. He trusts you. Now don’t break his trust by rummaging through his things, your future with him will end right there.
PUBLIC
He is definitely in love with you when you notice that in public, he doesn’t shy away from holding your hand, putting his arm around you and standing next to you. He won’t get uptight if you give him a peck on the cheek. He will pay attention and actually ignore that eye candy that just passed by.
THINGS YOU LIKE
Women always make it a point to make sure that whatever a man likes, it is always in stock in the house. No matter what it is, food, beer, snacks, etc. Men don’t do this but when he starts, that means he has been paying attention. He will come home with your favorite tea, snack, food, diet drinks, etc. When he brings something you really wanted after making subtle hints. You have to admit, he has been paying attention, he is really showing you he cares for you and wants to fulfill every need. If he didn’t care, he wouldn’t take the time to do this.
SOCIAL
It’s hard to get him to meet your friends and family. This means to them, a more permanent commitment. Some will do it just to please you and get you off their back but don’t ask him about that evening or event, he won’t remember a thing. However, when they show interest and remember the names of your friends and family, request outings or dinners with them, there is nothing subtle about this. He is truly interested in you, loves you and wants to share in every part of your life. He’s welcoming you and everything about you into his life.
When starting a new relationship, remember, you have to be patient. That man in your life will open up to you when he is comfortable and ready. With subtle hints he will show you he does love you and wants to be part of your life. Don’t push him or threaten him, it will only make him leave. A man compares himself to a wild stallion, free and roaming. He is running wild in his own world and only answers to himself.
To them at times, being in a relationship is suffocating, scary and they will compare it to a life sentence in jail. The way to change their minds is to be patient and loving, not pushy and aggressive. Take the time to get to know each other, give him some space, when he is ready, he will let you know. Remember, women always say read between the lines, it goes both ways.
