SLEEP POSTURE

The position that will cause you to snore the most is sleeping on your back.  There are various types of pillows that are available to get you spine aligned and open up the airways.  You can also sleep on your side.

NASAL PASSAGES

If you have a stuffy nose this will cause you to breathe through your mouth which will lead to snoring.  Before going to sleep, clear your nasal passages, use a nasal spray or strips.  Try to avoid allergy pills; this will cause your throat muscles to relax too much.

LIFESTYLE CHANGES

There are other reasons that can cause you to snore, such as smoking, alcohol, obesity and certain medications can make this condition worst.  Just by making a few changes in your lifestyle can reduce or eliminate this problem.

THROAT SPRAYS

These sprays coat your throat with lubricating oils allowing the air to move freely.  This will reduce the vibration in your throat which will help eliminate or reduce the problem.

SURGERY

A physician will suggest surgery after they have exhausted every other treatment available or your condition is very serious.  They may do surgery on your throat or nasal passages.  It all depends on what the results the doctor receives from the tests they have performed.
