There is a comment that most men have made at one time or another, women should come with a manual. Now, when women hear this, they wish they did have a manual. That way, they could smack them upside their head just for making that wonderful comment. To them, women are complicated, don’t know what they want and are hard to please.
This is not true, all they have to do is listen and listen carefully. The problem is that women don’t grunt and groan like they do. They use words in sentences that are just too complicated for men.
If they only knew it’s simple, women want to feel loved, appreciated, understood, cared for, pleased, surprised, romanced and swept off their feet. Right now if they read this, it’s just too much for them. They are already confused. Sure, that sounds mean but come on ladies, that is what most of us think. We do try to talk to them in their level of understanding but all we do is confuse them more.
Okay, romance, what do we mean by this? Well, it sure isn’t a pizza, beer and Monday night football. What we want is for them to surprise us with something out of the ordinary, maybe something we have seen in a movie. Instead, we would like them to come home with roses, our favorite color of course. Tell us that they have made dinner reservations at a nice, elegant restaurant. Hopefully this night will include dancing and then a little attention at home. It’s a perfect night, the only thing that would make it better is a gift and it doesn’t always have to be pricey or jewelry. As long as it is special and has a meaning to it, we will love it and keep it forever.
We also want them to be sensitive to our feelings. For instance, if we are crying they should be sensitive and watch what they say. We could be having problems at work, stressed, the kids or not feeling good. These emotions can be overwhelming, especially if they happen all at one time. So we go to them to find comfort and instead we hear, “I guess you it’s that time of the month”. Well, if they wanted us to stop crying, they did it, now we are angry. Our tears turn to rage and we are ready to rip them to shreds.
Here is another way they can make us happy, all they have to do is look after their selves and help us around the house. This will put a smile on our faces quickly. Men are like children to many of us, we have to constantly remind them to put out the trash, pick up their clothes, put their shoes away and beg them to help us with the kids. To get them to do the dishes is like trying to give a cat a bath, it’s an awful scene.
For those single men wanting to meet single women, be smart. Avoid using cheesy pick up lines, they have heard them all. Don’t be pushy, if she doesn’t want to dance or talk, walk away. Be humble; don’t act like you are a God. When speaking to a woman, be polite and don’t be crude. Comments that are sexual will only turn them off. Things like that are offensive to many. How many times have we seen a man walk up to a woman at a party or club and get slapped? Too many times to count, it’s horrible and funny at the same time.
What women want is simple a man to share their thoughts, feelings, love and life. Once we feel comfortable with the men in our lives and find that they do all they can to make us happy, we will do what we can to make them happy. It’s a 50/50 deal. All that men need to do is learn to give just as much as they take. So men, next time you walk up to a woman be a gentleman. Talk to her with respect and realize she is smart. For those going home to their partner, surprise her with flowers one day. Once in a while ask her out on a date. Just because you are married or living together, it doesn’t mean you can’t go out on a date. This could actually be fun and rewarding for both.
