Unfortunately there isn't a product that she can buy for everything; she has to buy a variety of them to get the results she wants.
Not only do they buy more products but if you were to compare a lotion for a woman to a lotion for a man, the cost would be different. Next time you go to the store, check the cost of the items a little more closely.
Look at the aisles, there are more products for women than for men. But it’s not just products that you can purchase at a store. You are also looking at higher mortgage and health insurance payments. Also, don’t forget, many believe that all women don't understand the cost of big ticket items, such as a car, a home, repairs, etc. That is not true, many women do research and search for the best deals. However, there is always someone out there trying to take advantage and will make the women pay more.
Still to this day, women still don’t make as much as men. They pay more but earn less. For each dollar a man makes, she makes 78 cents. Why should it cost more to be a woman if they earn less than a man? Some people will find this is not fair because women can go to a club on ladies’ night and get in for free.
They can also get free drinks while they are there. Yes and car insurance can be lower for them but the freebies don't change the fact that she still will have to pay more for other items.
MORTGAGES
32% of women are more likely to carry a subprime mortgage even if her salary is similar to a man. Many single women are single moms work hard to have a good home for her family or herself. On a $100,000 loan she will end up paying $120 more a month. At least 41% of the women are likely to have a mortgage rate of over 9% when mortgage rates for men is almost 6%.
HEALTH INSURANCE
Women have more medical bills then a man especially when it comes to the child bearing age. It was noted that during the health care debate, they found women paid higher premiums and have even harsher terms imposed on them. Due to the harsher terms, claims would be rejected and in some cases adjusted.
HAIR CUTS
Men go in for a haircut and for example pay $15.00. Women go to get a haircut and have to pay depending on the length of the cut, the style, etc. By the time she gets out of the hair salon, she pays 3 to 4 times more than a man and that's if she keeps it simple.
PRODUCTS
Women pay more for razors, shaving creams, lotions, shampoos, etc. The companies add more things to their list and for these things they have added, whether its fragrances or special ingredients for sensitive skins, they charge her much more. You know what; in this case many women are suckers. They purchase the item because of the brand name and the companies know this. Is it necessary to pay so much for the product? Why not compare a woman’s product to a similar one that is made for a man? You will see there isn’t much of a difference. Just so you don’t feel offended, as a woman, Many will use many products made for men. It gives them the same results and they will save money.
CLOTHING
You are probably surprised to read this but yes, women do purchase men’s clothing, those that they can get away with. The items are polos, jeans, sweaters, socks and a few other items. You pay less and to be honest it's rare that anyone ever notice the difference. Besides some women have actually commented that men’s jean fit them better than women’s jeans. So not only will you get a better fit but pay a lot less.
SOLUTION
Compare the products, start buying men products. There was an article written that talked about a woman that would purchase a product called M Lotion for men, made by Clinique. The product cost a little more than half of the women’s version Dramatically Different. The only differences were the cost and who it was made for. Otherwise the product was exactly the same and had the same results. When they asked the store clerk why was the lotion for men less expensive, they said it was due to the fact men just won't apy as much as women. Women have to start buying like men. Instead of those fancy purchase the razors made for men, they do the exact same job.
As mentioned earlier, there are things that women can get that men can’t. For instance, tears sometimes help in avoiding getting a ticket, of course not always. There are times with a smile and polite conversation they can sway things over their way. Things men can’t seem to do. But no matter what, they still are taken for a ride.
Prices should be the same across the board. Really, nothing should cost more because you are women. You shouldn’t have to pay more for a car, a home, haircuts, dry cleaning, etc. It is up to women to make this change. Start researching, be more assertive, haggle more and don’t buy just because it has a name brand, shop around. If you want to be treated equal, you are just going to have to start buying more like a man.
